Lucinda Lazo

she/her

Lucinda Lazo is an incredibly radiant and magnetic soul. She began Ballet Folklorico at a young age, nourishing her longing to utilize theater and dance to tell the stories of Hispanic and Native artists such as herself. She made her directorial debut with Yo Soy Una Mujer, a play she wrote as an ode to her mother and grandmother and their struggles as Mexican women in American society. While at CU, she has acquired an appetite for digesting Shakespeare. One of her beloved roles was Alice in Book of Will, performed several times as an understudy at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival. Out of the theater, she is all about a good time. She can be found grabbing a beer with friends, binge-watching That 70’s show, or showing off her air guitar skills with her sisters to System of a Down.
